KidStart > Day Care
| We
are a New York State licensed facility
providing care for children with special
needs as well as for children without
disabilities. The KidStart
Day Care Center provides a safe and
nurturing environment where children
learn through play. We are open Monday
through Friday from 6:30 a.m. until
6:00 p.m. Our staff is committed to
making each child's day special by offering
a wide variety of opportunities for
physical, emotional and social growth. |

Infants
(6 weeks to 18 months)
|

From
arrival time until departure. each
infant is on his or her own schedule.
Throughout the day, each schedule allows
for feedings, diapering, napping,
cuddling and playtime. Playtime may
occur on the floor, in walkers or
swings and in the arms of caregivers.
Short walks and outdoor times occur
as weather permits. Age-appropriate
toys and activities are provided for
each of the children.

Toddlers

| Toddlers'
physical, mental, social and emotional
development is enhanced in a safe, nurturing
environment. Toddlers are encouraged
and challenged to release their emerging
curiosities and emotions in positive,
creative ways through play. Toddlers
have a regular daily schedule that includes
meal times, group times, and plenty
of time for individual play. Children
and staff go outside to play and for
short walks weather permitting.

| The
child-centered preschool program provides
many experiences to meet each child's
interests and needs. The development
of social skills is enhanced through
play and conflict resolution (with adult
guidance as needed). |

Daily
opportunities are provided for creative
self expression, motor development,
literacy, and science and math activities.
As children learn to master age-appropriate
tasks, their self confidence grows.

school-age program provides recreational
activities that stimulate growth and

each child. Children participate in
outdoor activities (weather permitting),

and have quiet times to complete homework.

Nursery

adults and other children."

| Preschool
experience in a developmentally appropriate
classroom for children ages three and
four. The consistent daily routine includes
large group and small group activities,
adult-directed experiences, child-initiated
play times, outdoor play, and snack
time. Available five days a week from
9:00 until 11:30 a.m. at the Holcomb
Building in Geneseo. |
