The Arc of Livingston-Wyoming is the largest not-for-profit organization in Livingston and Wyoming counties, providing services to over 800 developmentally disabled individuals. We offer a full range of services, including an early childhood program, residential homes, work centers, community employment, transportation, and support for consumers to live independently.

As we continue to expand our services, full time, part time, and per diem employment openings are available in both Livingston and Wyoming counties, with plenty of opportunity for advancement. Requirements and Benefits:

FT and PD Registered Nurses
Responsible for coordinating and monitoring the clinical care of our consumers. Experience in home care nursing a plus. Monday-Friday with rotating on call. Excellent salary and benefits. Work with a great team of nurses! 40 hours per week.

Job Coach
FT, PT and per diem positions are currently available to provide job training and transportation to individuals with disabilities in community based employment. Will be responsible for instructing persons in the proper performance of job duties, including, but not limited to: training, job skills, work habits, socialization skills, and work safety. Maintain documentation required and transport persons to and from job sites as needed. Excellent opportunity for experience in the human services field. Must possess HS Diploma or GED, as well as a current NYS drivers license with a safe driving record, as per agency policy. Have multiple positions with flexible hours.

KidStart: Substitutes
Successful candidates will provide direct care for children at our KidStart locations in Geneseo, Mt. Morris, and Dansville.  Substitutes work under the leadership and guidance of the Child Care Teacher, and provide valuable input and ideas toward high-quality programming for each child. English/Spanish bilingual ability is a plus. Hours are designated on a per diem basis.

Occupational Therapist
Primary responsibilities include screenings and evaluations of infants and children, and designing and implementing Occupational Therapy programs for home and classroom use. An Occupational Therapy degree is required, and pediatric experience is preferred.

Physical Therapist
The successful candidate will plan and implement a therapy program to facilitate the rehabilitation of children with disabilities. Responsibilities include screening and evaluating infants and children who are enrolled in, or referred to, the program. A Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy is required.

Registered Dietitian
The Arc of Livingston-Wyoming seeks an enthusiastic, knowledgeable Dietitian to work with consumers and staff in its growing Residential Program. Responsibilities include: traveling to group homes to complete staff trainings, nutrition assessments/evaluations, individual/group nutrition education, and monitoring meal service in the homes. RD or RD eligible required.

Special Education Coordinator
Responsible for hiring and supervision of staff in preschool self-contained classrooms, Early Intervention groups, SEIT and EI homebased services. Resource person for all special education services. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: scheduling and coordination of special education services, review and monitoring of IEP/IFSP services, program assessment, training, development of policies and procedures. MS or MA in Special Education. One to three years experience working with children ages birth to 5 years who have disabilities. NYS Permanent Certification in Special Education.

Speech Therapist / Language Pathologist
Responsibilities include evaluating and treating speech-language delayed/disordered children in our preschool and Emotionally Impaired (EI) programs, at their homes and in a school setting. The successful candidate will design and implement individual programs for each child. A Master of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology/Speech Therapy is required.

Residential: Life Skills Assistants
Responsibilities include direct care and supervision of individuals in a 24-hour staffed Individual Residential Alternative (IRA).  Per diem, part-time and full-time positions available in both Livingston and Wyoming counties.  Advancement opportunities are available as additional IRAs will be opening in 2007.

Transportation: Bus Drivers
Drivers are expected to accept transportation assignments and perform driving duties in a safe and cautious manner, with safety of passengers as their top priority. For applicants without a Commercial Driver License (CDL), The Arc of Livingston-Wyoming will pay for all training, including the 30-hour school bus course and fingerprinting. Hours are on an on-call, as needed basis. Must be able to obtain a CDL license within the prescribed time frame.
