March 2008
Dear Friend,
“Putting the pieces together” – That’s
our driving force at The Arc of
Livingston-Wyoming, a not-for-profit agency
that provides comfort, stability, encouragement
and promise for hundreds of people throughout
our community.
We couldn't do it without you! Your
membership dollars are used to connect hundreds
of exceptional people to programs that enhance
quality of life through work opportunities,
homes to live in, children's services,
transportation, community services and
inclusion. Thanks to you, our agency is
the largest and most comprehensive of its kind
in Livingston and Wyoming Counties. We serve
more than 350 people with developmental and
other disabilities through vocational and day
habilitation programs, and have over 300
children enrolled at KidStart. Our service
coordinators help over 350 individuals. Hilltop
buses help us get around the community by
traveling more than 2 million miles annually. In
2007, we opened new houses in Livonia and
Dansville, which means that the agency now
operates 14 homes in our various communities.
With your help, we look forward to continued
growth for our integrated services in 2008. When
you support The Arc of Livingston-Wyoming, your payback
is the feeling of pride to be involved in an
agency that connects so many neighbors to needed
services and programs. Each membership is a
direct increase of our chapter’s voice and
influence within NYSARC – our state organization
– as well as with our state representatives in
Albany. More members mean more representation
for the individuals we serve.
Please contact Bonnie McGoldrick at
585.658.2828 ext. 108 or
bmcgoldrick@lwarc.org to learn how to renew
your membership or sign up as a new member – and
help us continue to deliver comprehensive
services to neighbors all ages and abilities and
their families. Your membership puts
the pieces together!
Sincerely,

Marcy VanZandt
Board President, Membership Committee Chair, and
Parent
